Hell is a state of eternally being separated from God. Your very being is contingent upon God for existence, but you never cease to exist. Therefore, as you attempt to rip yourself from existence and fail for all eternity, it is the most profound suffering. It is psychotic, chaotic, and unnatural in every way because we ourselves are choosing to be in that state.
Hell makes the distortion permanent.
So, only repentance and God’s grace will save us from hell.
