If you light a lamp from one that’s already burning, then another from that one, and so on, you’ll have light all the time. In the same way, through the tradition of the Apostolic succession, the grace of the Holy Spirit is handed down through all generations and enlightens all who obey their shepherds and teachers.
To be able to give, you must have first received enlightenment from above through the guidance of an experienced elder.
