At the last supper, our Lord gave us the model of leadership: while we tend to gain power to assign tasks to others He just quietly picked a towel and a basin of water and began to wash his disciples’ feet. He gave everything, including His body, and that’s why he received everything.
The real leader is the one who is the slave of the many. This doesn’t imply at all that he will be the slave of one’s egoistic desires, rather the contrary.
