The lord of the world

Poverty is the release from cares, life without anxiety, an unencumbered journey, alienation from sorrow, fidelity to the commandments.
A poor monk is a lord in the world. He has entrusted his cares to God and by faith has gained all people as his slaves. He won’t speak of his needs to anyone and receives what comes to him as if from the hand of the Lord.
