We cannot play with eternity. We aspire to glory and this is natural. However the sin of Adam distorted this by separating us from God and now we seek glory in vain here on Earth. St. Evdokimos succeeded to surpass this and gained eternal glory in Heaven. We cannot reach Heaven if we do not overcome our attachment to earthly things. It depends on us what to choose. However I must say that our main disease today is that we play too much with eternity. We cannot play with eternity.
