We should not fear confession because confession is the door to heaven. This is because God won’t cure us from our existential distortions unless we practically deny them through confession in the front of the priest whom God chosen to do this. We are not allowed to reveal anything confessed to anyone. Confession isn’t an informational act. It is a spiritual event in which the one who confesses his sins receives God’s grace through his humility, becomes stronger, noble and impresses the priest. The same grace will enlighten the priest to give him the right counsel from God. This power from God will help also the faithful not do the same sins again and to advance further.
So, our eternal happiness depends on our courage to speak sincerely. We are all sinners. we just need to acknowledge this.
