I asked one of the fathers if I could shoot some photos of some icons which was gilding in their workshop. The father replied “come if you want, as we are working on one huge icon: St. Luke of Crimea.”
“Ok” I said and I immediately went there. Incidentally, as you can see from the photos, in the entire workshop there was one icon on the wall: a small paper icon of Sf. Luke. It was put there without any connection to the big icon which the fathers were gilding. In my discussion with the father who was gilding the icon, we suddenly realized that today (the day that these photos were taken) is St Luke’s Name day.
How the saints work in such miraculous ways!
This is our church: the synergy between people on Earth, saints in Heaven into the love of God
