Prayer: our source of happiness – Photo Journal from the Feast of Holy Founders – Part 1: The Vigil

Post's featued image.

We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all, because this is our source of happiness.

Let us therefore educate ourselves not to listen to our minds so much, bur rather stop to hear God’s voice.

In the following photos you can see candid shots from the feast of the Holy Founders at Vatopaidi. There were three archbishops: Joel of Edessa, Ambrose of Peterhof, the dean of the St. Petersburg’s Theological Academy, and Philaret of Lvov and Galicia and the Abbot of the Monastery of Zographou, Elder Ambrose.

« What is “the mind of the Church”?
The pride of our academy are our saints – Photo Journal from the Feast of Holy Founders. Part 2: The Liturgy (Audio) »
