Words are instruments of this world, but silence is a mystery of the age to come.

Brilliant photo! Thank you. I`m thinking of the silence of the Mother of God in the gospels. Always there, but almost always silent. What an example (the best) of faith in the Logos.
I work with young people. Most of them fear Silence. But God so often reaches out to us in our silences. Do you agree with that?
Ioan Toma
Read closely the New Testament. Mother of God said few words to God. The only words which Mother of God said to us are: “Do everything He [ie. Her Son – n.n.] say to you”.
’nuff said.

The difficulty very often is discerning what He says. So, the gift of silence is necessary, to listen to what God is telling us to do. Silence in a busy world is difficult to find, especially when God speaks to us in `a still, small voice`.

So… …get out!
Cut this avalanche of informational noise. Rest in your heart. Pray a little. Then we will see and hear the living God.
Yes, I know, it needs practice. But it is the most wonderful thing to do.
