Post's featued image.

The communists took everything from us: they took our physical liberty, they took our wealth, our friends and relatives, our freedom of speech and expression – everything.

But they couldn’t enter into our souls to take God from there. And in this way we won the war against them, against our weaknesses and ultimately against the devil.

Only with the help of God can one survive 19 years of torture in prison. Everything else fails.

Based on Răducă Marin, Romanian confessor who spent 19 years in communist prisons

In these photos you can see mr. Marin Răducă speaking at Vatopaidi with monks and pilgrims.

Amen! …what was/is amazing at him was/is his simplicity, his natural way of be, considering how many years he was tortured. He is a very small man.
