God is above everything, including existence

God does not “suffer” anything. God has no need of anything. He is above everything, including any necessity that might stem from His nature or existence. In fact, God does not “exist”. God is above existence; He “contains” existence, and created existence itself. When we say that God exists we mean that God is super-existence, beyond existence as we know it. Our word for “exist” does not somehow impart knowledge of the ineffable essence of God, but is mere a positive placeholder for a negative.
