Christianity is not a philosophy in the sense that prevails today. Philosophy sets up a system of thought which in most cases bears little relationship to life. The main difference between Christianity and philosophy is that the latter is human thinking, while Christianity is the revelation of God. Philosophy ends not being able to answer from where a human being comes, who one is, or where one is going. Christianity begins by having as base the answers to these questions. It is impossible for human logic to find the truths of Christianity.

Based on Metropolitan Hierotheos (Vlachos) of Nafpaktos, father Dumitru Staniloae

In this photo are depicted a monk from Vatopaidi (right) having a chat with a monk living in a cell nearby. They saw each other after a while and started to exchange thoughts.

Daca imi este ingaduit (iertati-mi indrazneala) as numi aceasta fotografie “Bucuria revederii”. Asta am simtit, privindu-o!
Fiul nostru (Ioan-Octavian) cand a fost pentru prima data in Gradina Maicii Domnului mi-a spus; mama, Athosul, e altceva! Fiecare revenire in Athos schimba chipul, inima lui.. De cand ati deschis aceasta “poarta spre Lumina”, pentru noi, cei din lume..Fie sotul Eduard, fie baiatul Ioan..vine langa mine si spune, mama, acesasta este usa de langa Trapeza..aici am mancat.. Acesta este parintele X.. Aceasta este STAPANA PARAMYTHIA.
Cu inima suntem acolo.. In Gradina maicii Domnului
Asa cum am scrisesesm initial in comentariul anterior.spun fratele nostru drag,.
    Daruind vei Dobandi..
    (N.Steinhardt)
